About Me
Hey!
I'm a thinker, writer and traveler who just finished my degree in English literature at a small liberal arts college in southern California. Travel is a huge priority for me, and something I believe is as much a mindset and a way of life as it is something you "do"; I believe that with the right perspective and appreciation for life, you can have the "travel" mindset in your own hometown.
I can't live without music (listening & singing); if I go too long without my music I get restless and sad 😅
I also enjoy reading and writing, books & poetry (although lately I've been doing much more of the latter), laughing, dancing, and long road trips. I'm also a huge animal lover and eat mostly vegan when I'm at home in the States.
When I travel, I like to enjoy food, drinks, interesting conversations, unexpected friendships, finding magic in unexpected places, and making homes away from my home!
I'm pretty equally balanced between extroverted and introverted: I love going out, exploring new places, getting drinks (I'm mostly a wine and beer girl) and socializing, but I'm also very introspective, independent, and can happily spend days by myself enjoying my own company. Especially when traveling, I don't require outside stimulation or other people to be happy, but it's always nice; a lot of people say I seem like an "old soul" haha.
Above all, I believe in authenticity, respect, creativity, awareness, empathy, and unbridled, unrestrained enthusiasm 😜
And on the road, not everything happens for a reason, but most things usually do ✨
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm taking a gap year to travel and go where the world takes me...!
Like everyone on CS, I love meeting new people and exchanging culture and genuine conversation.
I absolutely love languages, culture, and exploring new places. I studied French for several years (but am very rusty!) and started learning Danish while I was studying in Copenhagen, so I'd love to continue those with language exchange, or even learn something entirely new.
