I grew up in the United States. I have spent the last 5 years traveling all over the US living out of my vehicle here and there and eventually full time out of my van last year. I love the outdoors and the sense of peace and connection nature gives you. The mountains are my happy place. I enjoy climbing, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, skiing, BC skiing.
I am currently traveling New Zealand where I plan to add scuba diving, surfing, and snorkeling to my list of sports. When I travel I like to spend time in that country or area. I will be in NZ for a year where I hope to meet new and incredible people, learn the culture, and connect with the land.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing for the opportunity to meet locals and build friendships in New Zealand. I think this is one of the best ways to really learn about the local culture and meet like minded individuals.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a variety of music. I love rock, pop, indie folk, alternative... It really just depends on my mood.

My favorite books to read are fantasy and fiction/historical fiction. Most of my current favorites are series by Brandon Sanderson. I love chatting books. Movies fall under the same category, but I also enjoy action, romance, of course anything Marvel... I'll pretty much watch anything as long as it's not horror... My all time favorite movie is Hunt for the Wilderpeople (maybe what helped my choose NZ to travel to...)

I love to learn new things and teach the things that I do know to those interested. I love it when others are stoked to learn about outdoor adventure sports and I'm always happy to share my expertise as well as my photography knowledge.
