I'm Sophia, 25 years old, originally from Germany, but currently living in the Netherlands. I love being active and being outside. I usually spent my free time climbing, swimming, cycling or hiking. Also, I love to bake - whenever things get too stressful, I just baking is my escape to calm me down again. :)

Next to my studies I also work as a spinning coach. I really love to motivate people and to trigger them to do their best. Also, I am a going to be doc and love everything about anatomy and the musculoskeletal system. In the past, I also did a bachelor in psychology and later on I would love to combine the two. I hope that by looking at people as a whole I can help them coming back to/sustain a better health.

Generally, if I do something, then I do it 100% - thus, if I decide to travel, then I usually like to spend more time in one country and exploring that in all its depth than going for many countries with shorter stays.

Besides that I care a lot about the environment which is why I am a most-of-the-time vegan (exceptions are situations where I actually agree with the way for example cheese is produced) and 100%-of the-time-vegetarian and which is also why we (me and my roommates) try to make as much ourselves as possible - soap, washing powder, you name it. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because on my own travels I really like to get to know a country with all its facets, thus also its people. :)

Also, I would like to give back some of the hospitality I received during my travels.
