About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Become the most me I can be, and have fun on this absurd planet.

ABOUT ME

Extroverted. Lover of exotic foods. Curious. Friendly. Happy-go-lucky. Easy going. Often vegetarian, not always. Amusing. Spiritual. I try really hard to be CLEAN and NEAT. I’m a fire dancer, and I’ve performed at many festivals around the world. Creating constantly: film, photography, watercolor, bodypaint, doodles, sketching, whatever the days flavor is....

PHILOSOPHY

I'm an earthling. I live to experience the world for everything that it has created: the people, the cultures, and the breathtaking beauty of natural order and human accomplishment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have had some amazing experiences Couchsurfing, and I’m hungry for more. I recently took a trip back to India to visit a former host and lifelong friend’s wedding in Kolkata. I’ve found my host usually knows where the best food in the city is, which to me is the most important information I seek when traveling. I’ve met many wonderful friends and been propelled on some fantastic voyages with the help of couchsurfing!

Interests

Traveling, festivals, fire dancing, water color painting, collecting local art, video production, eating strange food, hiking, nature, astronomy, live music, light-hearted conversations on metaphysics, learning languages, and plot twists.

Music, Movies, and Books

I live for music. While my favorites are mostly electronic oriented, including psytrance, techno, progressive, dub and DnB, and downtempo, I have a love for world music and acoustic as well. Folk, bluegrass, classic rock, old school hip hop, reggae, jazz...as long as it’s not your standard sugar coated pop music, I’m dancing. If you have passion for it, chances are I will too.
I'm currently into non-fiction. My favorites are
Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain (a personal idol,) and anything by Bill Bryson. Wild Swans by Yung Chang and 1,000 Spendid Suns by Khalid Housseini are some international women’s sagas I adore. Some fiction too: Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts and 100 Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez are also favorites. Dean Morriarty is my favorite character of all time: YES!
As for films and TV: I'm into Richard Linklater films. Vikings, House of Cards, Mind of a Chef, Chef’s Table, Rick and Morty, and Broad City are all favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once held a koala. In that moment, I was infinite.

I’ve also cycled 2,000 km from my home in California to Oregon to watch a total solar eclipse.

I had a life changing experience on the Camino de Santiago in the North of Spain. An epic journey!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook! I'm always interested in sharing a meal with a new friend, whether it is prepared by us or someone else.
I know a lot of great hiking trails in my area and would love to share them with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to share a meal with you, teach you about meditation or how to play poi.
