A 30 year old from Amsterdam. After 2,5 years working as a researcher (creating campaigns and concepts for charities) I quit my job to travel once again. The plan was to travel whole central America, but right now I think i'll stick with Mexico. I love the country! Enough to see and explore.

I'm a naturally curious person. After studying psychology I not only want to understand others, but mostly myself. Therefore I read, write, meditate..

To 'play' I like to go out into nature, dance (salsa), travel and explore, ride my bike (bringing you the dutch stereotype), listen to music or just have fun with new or old friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best time. The most special experiences. This platform makes me optimistic about the world, I love how it is based on trust and relies on the goodness of people.

Met lot of very cool people through couch surfing, which some of them are now the closest friends. Also Ive hosted some people but not through couchsurfing. Just because I wanted to give them a bed or couch.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music i like a lot. It is hard to put a genre to it. Something with a good groove.
Some of my favourite artists are Fat freddy's drop, Gramatik, Guts, Chinese man, Sola Rosa, Alt-J, Balkan Beat Box, Shantel, Rodriguez, Ondo Vaga, Wax Tailor, Manu chao.

I love to discover new music everywhere I go. You can see me 'shazamming' in every local bar or restaurant. Now discovering Mexican music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the best things I've done in the past years was living in a campervan for a few days around the desert in the North of Chile. The most beautiful nature i've ever seen!!

More recently I did my first Vipassana in Mexico. This was a very special experience and I'm sure the first step on a new path.

Teach, Learn, Share

Most things i've learned was while travelling and meeting new people; it puts up a mirror and makes you see the bigger picture. I think together we can change a lot. Let's use our power to empower each other. Not only in terms of the health of the earth, but also in the way we treat all living beings on it. Kindness matters

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a nice vegan* meal, make music together, we can philosophise about life, or I can teach you some dutch!

*Yes, I'm vegan. But happy to think along with the food and prepare my own!
