ABOUT ME

Born and raised in San Francisco, currently an undergrad at Pomona College studying neuroscience and computer science, graduating this spring. I'm in Claremont, CA most of the time now and absolutely love it here. I'm usually traveling somewhat randomly and doing research during the summer months. What else... well anything else is probably just TMI, but feel free to ask.

PHILOSOPHY

Like a lot of people, I love food. Sadly, I'm a terrible cook. So I guess I should learn how to cook better. and that's my philosophy. yes, i do think this philosophy is quite extrapolatable. no, i don't know if extrapolatable is a word.

I'm very new to this. I'm sure somewhere down the line I'll be eagerly participating by saving money on hotel $$$$. Yes.

In all seriousness though, I really do enjoy getting to know people and sharing experiences. So I look forward to happy cs adventures to come :)

I am completely brand spankin' new to couchsurfing. I've heard only positive things from so many people though. Like that one story about some crazy host who wouldn't give back his guest's luggage after throwing him in the middle of his guy love triangle. oh the things i've been missing out on

Mmmm so many. Twilight, first of all. Ok maybe not. But its cinematography does make me want to take a roadtrip through the pacific northwest. All the King's Men is definitely one of my favorite books. Music.. where to begin? a lot of classical composers. I'm really into chamber music, both performing and listening. <3 Jason Mraz. and explosions in the sky. good trance, and yeah i admit i'll rock out to those top40s that socal radio stations air over and over everyday like your ipod stuck on replay, replay

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

cooking aside, teach me guitar! i've been learning some classical things and picking up chords here and there but am pretty newbish. I'm also always looking to improve my Chinese. I listen fluently but you'll be able to tell I'm not native when I start talking back at you. Conversely, I can teach you Chinese if you're a beginner, and English if you can't read this. and I don't know. whatever. we can talk about algorithms and research and product ideas and applied psychology if you're into that (yeah i'm a nerd). or california beaches and backpacking and climbing and nietszche and wittgenstein and my fetish for ... ok we won't go there. seriously though, teach me anything and i'll learn; ask me anything and i'll tell
