About Me

Hi there! My name is Sophie, I am a 26 years old girl from France. my hometown is Colmar, a little colourful town which inspired the creator of Howl's moving castle (a Gibli studio movie). I love to travel so much! As well as cooking, and recently started to do photography as a hobby to do it as a way to express my artistic part. I love nature, night sky, sunrise and sunsets, waterfalls, beaches, beautiful landscapes and people. I have a very big heart and love to make new friends, meet new persons. I love to share my love and happiness, to listen to others as I would do with an audiobook, listen to their stories.

I am on Couchsurfing because I find that when you're travelling, that's the best way ever to meet locals and discover their lifestyle/ culture. I want to meet new people and make friends along my journey, I also want to learn about them, their culture, their food, their lifestyle.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any kind of pop electro songs and love Latino music! Can't stop me from dancing and smiling if there is a Latino song playing.

I love Tarantino movies ( Kill Bill is still my favourite 💕), memoirs of a geisha, Game of Thrones, Gibli studio movies, Naruto.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Achieved my biggest dream of coming and live to Japan. I feel blessed every day. I left my country with my family, my job, my apartment and all the rest in January 2016 to travel to Australia by myself. I didn't know at all how to speak English. So, my first month there I studied very hard the basis of the English language. After a month in Australia, I made really good friends with who I spoke only in English.

Teach, Learn, Share

My cooking skills! I know how to cook traditional and modern French food as well as Italian food and much more! I also have good skills of professional wine taster and can introduce you to the story of France and my region (Alsace) which used to be German.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I said Above, I can cook for you French food and other European food. I can also share with you some basis of French if you're interested. I would be happy to help you out with basic duties if you will need my help for them!

Countries I’ve Visited
