Hi!

I'm currently (and for most of my life) a student, now studying at Karolinska Institute to become a clinical psychologist. I very much enjoy these studies and the topic, it's stimulating, relevant and challenging. I am currently working as a research assistant and have recently evaluated an anti-violence programme in school (Mentors in Violence prevention) as well as currently helping to conduct a meta-analysis on parental support programmes for parents whose children have conduct disorder. I am also involved in the independent research institute IGDORE, which is an institution well needed within academia.
Furthermore, I enjoy to both attend and conduct philosophy cafés, using a Socratic method, which is such a beautiful way to meet people in a different, warm and curious way around a certain topic such as 'forgiveness', 'belonging' etc.

There are many reasons and perhaps they're not even really known to oneself, but I'll try and make a small reconstruction of what I believe is the reason for me being here :)

I spent years after finishing school living abroad and travelling to places. I met people who provided me, and who I hopefully could provide, perspective. Perspective, good conversations and a sense of the world not being so big and us humans that different.

I miss that feeling!

Living in my "homecountry" I've found life to become more of a routine and sometimes in lack of that perspective that cultural exchange provides.

So, that's, in part at least, why I'm here.

Much!

Knowledge in itself is something that excites me and my brain seems attuned to enjoy learning new things.

So knowledge is one interest. Then comes philosophy, especially political philosophy, and psychology, anthropology, sociology, arts, music & much else that reminds me of what it is to be human, tells me of the complexity of it, and gives me joy in how beautiful life is.

I'll just spell out what I'm currently reading
*Why Love Hurts by Eva Illouz.
I haven't gotten that far but it seems promising in putting our idea of a romantic relationship in our current society and how that shapes our hopes and views of such.

*Philosophy for Life by Helge Svare & Henning Herrestad
These Norwegian men explain the neccessity of philosophical practice, and it's usage today in providing guidance through philosophical dialogues.

*Happy for all days to come by Nina Björk
Just finished this read. Wow! Nina Björk arguments for the issues with this capitalistic system and the difficulties it provides in valuing anything by any other means than monetary and when that is done, how we view ourselves and others, and the whole human race.

And for movies, well there are many!
