About Me

I am a 24 year-old Franco-British journalist. I'm currently living sometimes in Burgundy, sometimes in Paris so can't offer a place to stay yet but I'm happy to meet up in you're around Auxerre or in Paris.
I love to be active, especially outdoors and to discover new places. I'm an open minded person who enjoys meeting new people - tell me a little about yourself when you message me :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, travelling goes beyond sightseeing or frying on a beach. It's about getting in touch with a culture and its people. Couchsurfing is ideal for that because you get to spend time with locals and learn about their culture but also about their favorite places in the place they live.

I wrote my master's dissertation about what I called 'social travel'. This entails studying the phenomena around communities like Couchsurfing. I am therefore very interested in what it means to be a couchsurfer.

To research this dissertation, I went on a trip from Berlin to Budapest using only Couchsurfing as an accommodation. I stayed in 6 different cities with 6 different hosts and had an amazing time with all of them.
I instantly took to the concept and I hope to be able to host more in the future!

Interests

I love reading and writing.
Hiking and fitness sports.
I enjoy extreme sports: I tried canyoning in Corsica, absailing, I did a lot of rock climbing and I love scuba diving (I am level 1 according to the french diving federation).
I love food and wine (and beer haha). Coming from Burgundy and France in general, I enjoy good quality products and simple but tasty food.
I have started photography and guitar, and I also took salsa classes at uni.
I'm interested in journalism and what being a journalist today means.
But we don't have to talk serious stuff all the time! I love to chill and watch films too

Music, Movies, and Books

I love discussing culture and finding new music to listen to, films and series to watch and books to read. Share your favourites with me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A trip to South Africa. My mother was born there and my grandparents took the whole family on a Christmas trip there. I saw breathtaking landscapes, drove through a rave party, did my first scuba dive in the Indian Ocean, went on safaris at dawn, fed a bull elephant...just had an amazing time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am bilingual in French and English, so I can help with languages if you need it.
I can offer you a comfy stay and will respect your preferences: want to chat? I'm here! Want peace and quiet? I'll leave you be :)

Countries I’ve Visited
