About Me

I'm a 24 year old college graduate traveling in Europe. I'm currently spending two months volunteering at a refugee camp in Athens, Greece and then traveling in Norway with my partner!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm embarking on a journey of unknowns, ready to go wherever I feel the pull of adventure. Cheesy, I know, but it's true. I'm looking for a variety of experiences around the world and would love to be able to explore new cities through the lens' of my hosts. I've mostly traveled through Airbnb and hostels but I'm curious to learn about the couch surfing experience and meet actual locals. This April I'll be traveling with my partner, Alec Malenfant. We'd love to get to know you and your home!

Interests

I consider myself a creative person, always painting in my sketchbook or altering clothes I find at thrift shops. I love to explore the natural world so if you know of any good hikes, please let me know!

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite genre of music is definitely indie folk, highly recommend checking out Mandolin Orange as well as Gregory Alan Isakov. I'm currently reading Braiding Sweetgrass, a story based novel on the topics of indigenous wisdom, scientific knowledge, and the teachings of plants.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most spectacular things I've seen were the dancing northern lights in my hometown in Minnesota. A close second would be the breathtaking views on a Kyrgyz mountain standing at 9000 ft (about 3000 m).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to know about the traditional cooking of your region or family. I'd love to share stories about all the amazing places I've seen and hear about your travels as well. I'd also be very happy to talk about any forms of sustainable living or communities that you know of!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have traveled extensively in my relatively short life and love to share travel stories of culture idiosyncrasies, weird food, and adventures. I also love to cook and would be happy to cook something with you!

Countries I’ve Visited
