Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To make connections with likeminded people all over the world and learn about countries, and the country in question’s culture, first hand. I see no better way to learn and grow as a traveller!

Interests

I love spending as much time as possible with my family and socializing with new and old friends. I love learning about different cultures, reading, and writing. When I’m travelling, I like to engage in adventurous activities. I like hiking, swimming, cycling, etc. And, being Canadian, I must admit I love to watch and play ice hockey!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy any and all music genres but am particularly into electronic dance music. Not a huge movie watcher (but my favorite would have to be Inception), and I am a book LOVER who is currently reading Albert Camus’ La Chute in French.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This trip! We are making our way through approximately 20 countries in 4 months and meeting the most amazing people along the way. I’ve gotten a tattoo in Poland, hiked 6 hours in Italy, gone to the Sahara Desert, rented a car to drive across the Algarve in Portugal and much more!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m not entirely sure what this section is for but I am always open to learning new things and am especially keen on learning bits and pieces of new languages! In turn, I speak English and French and am a patient teacher if ever you’d like to learn a few new words yourself! Apart from that, I believe a drink and a laugh are always fun things to share! :)
