Hi i'm Sophie!

I grew up in Australia and first started falling in love with travel when I was 18.

I spent 2013 on a gap year travelling through Europe and ended up living and working in London before returning to Australia to start my studies.

After being home for a year studying German, I then returned to Europe to live in Berlin. I was particularly drawn to the open-minded nature of the people in this city and the freedom of expression particularly seen in it's massive arts scene. I am a creative person so I found this a particularly inspiring space to live and work in.

I have since found my passion in Fashion Design and am currently working on a portfolio to get in to a different fashion school. This has again found me travelling around Europe on a personal journey, seeking inspiration, expanding knowledge and continuing to grow. My goal would see me living and studying in either Copenhagen or Berlin within the next 6 months.

I am a really open-minded, considerate and passionate person. I love meeting new people, exploring new places and expanding my mind. I believe everything in this life is there to teach and enable us to grow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to couch surfing but I have heard nothing but good things. I think this is an incredible platform to meet people from a diversity of cultures and gain a local perspective. I love hearing peoples stories and sharing experiences and I think this is a really great way to do this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've experienced many amazing moments while travelling but one recent adventure that stands out was travelling through Morocco. Getting to explore this beautiful country and meet so many really beautiful locals was really inspiring for me.
Sitting in the warm evenings on the roof tops of Tangier, Fez and Marrakech sharing stories and experiences was something to really remember.
