About Me

I grew up in a tiny village located in the north-east part of Germany. Luckily it is really close to the baltic sea where I used to spend incredible summer vacations with friends & family.
After finishing my A-Level I worked as a volunteer in the capital city of Ghana. In James Town (one of the poorest area in Accra) I worked with an NGO which takes care of children who live there. We taught them to read, we did sports & arts with them, we regularly checked how their perform in school and visited them at home to check up on their safety. Thus, I somehow fall in love with the lovely and warm ghanaian mentality.
Afterwards I worked as a tour guide on an ostrich farm in South Africa which was a super nice experience as well.
Now I am a student in Trier, the oldest town in Germany which is close to Luxembourg.
Last semester I studied in Coimbra in Portugal. I met a lot of inspiring young people from all over Europe and am still in touch with them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of the best things about travelling is meeting new people who can show you a little bit of their culture, religion and lifestyle... That's why I'm on couchsurfing!
It's quite an easy way to get in touch with locals who are willed to hang out with foreigners. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

B O O K S: I love to read books dealing with stories which tell about life stories of people with different backgrounds, especially stories which take part in foreign countries that are totally different than my home country (Germany).
My all-time favourite book: A thousand splendid suns from Khaled Hosseini

M O V I E S: When it comes to movies I mostly like watching crimes.

S E R I E S: Choosing series I am not very picky. As long as they are not based on fantasy or science fiction I nearly like any series. My favourite series so far: Shameless !!!

M U S I C: I don`t have a specific type of music I mostly prefer I guess. What I am listening to is so mixed and depends on my mood.
Bands/singers I particularly like: Alt-J, Parov Stelar, Florence and the machine, the doors, Nirvana, die Antwoord, System of a Down, Kraftklub, Barns Courtney, Scala & Kolacny Brothers, Rammstein, Muse, Hollywood Undead, Guano Apes, Alice Phoebe Lou
