I'm Sophie, 24 years old. Since 3,5 years I live in the beautiful eastern German city called Dresden, where I study molecular biology and biotechnology. Being close to nature, forests and mountains has always attracted me and spending time in nature is always a goal I strive for, be it on holidays or in my free time. I am defiantly a hiking enthusiast. Therefore I am very grateful to live so close to the Saxon Switzerland. As I am a social type, it gives me a lot of energy to spend time with people, be it with my shared flat or with friends. I also really enjoy creating things. I like to express my creativity through handcrafts but cooking is also at the top of the list of things I enjoy. Apart from that, I love to deal with plants and can therefore hardly wait for spring! Exercising in the fresh air is also a favorite pastime of mine. Whether it's cycling (both to get from A to B and touring, for example along the beautiful Elbe cycle path), rollerblading, jogging or playing frisbee or badminton with friends.
I love getting to know other countries and cultures and gaining experience abroad.

I am in Odense for an internship for the next two months and would love to meet people! I love to experience other cultures and I want to get to know a country by discovering the nature and traditions.

I'd say I'm the kind of person who likes very different kind of music styles depending on the people and situation, in general I enjoy indie music, some German bands like Giant Rooks, Annenmaykantereit, Von Wegen Lisbeth, Edwin Rosen or Zeck. Other than that Mumford and Sons, the Weekend, Agnes Obel, Zaz, Tash Sultana, Billie Eilish and lots of classic oldies (70/80/90's)

I enjoy watching fantasy (HP, LOTR), comedy (how I met your mother and friends), british romantic movies (love actually,...), documentaries, thrillers,...

I love reading, however I mainly find the time to do so on Holidays. My taste regarding books is also quite diverse :D Starting with classic novels like Harry Potter, but also fantasy, thriller, sometimes non-fiction books, the list is very long haha
