Overview
About Me
Hi there! I'm Sophie, a 26 year-old farmer from Germany, who's excited to experience different parts of the world...
I'm an easy-going, open-minded person. I'm a good listener and super interested in other cultures, languages and people. This summer I am planning to travel Slovenia, a country that seems absolutely stunning to me from everything I've heard and read. I'm gonna be travelling with my sister Lisa. She's a 25 year-old teacher and she's super funny, likable, chatty and also very chilled :))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing can be an awesome opportunity to get to know locals and get a little insight into their way of living! I have couchsurfed once before together with a friend in Australia some years ago (using this profile https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/ines-ebert?action=show&controller=user_profiles) and we were able to experience Brisbane in a really special and personal way
Interests
Food!!! I love everything related to food, from growing it (vegetable gardening, caring for farm animals) to preparing the food (I like baking especially) and of course eating it. I would call myself a pretty experimental eater, so when I'm in a new county I make sure to try the typical dishes, no matter how weird they are :D
Also, I love to sing (but I can keep quiet if you prefer haha) and I do Yoga and go running.
I like to be outside and I'm super excited to see the landscape and plants of Slovenia
Some of Lisa's interests are culture, history, politics, social justice, skateboarding, DJing, beer, food.... (she can probably tell you better in person!)

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to hip hop, rap and RnB, but also lots of different genres, like Indie, old-school 70s Rock and some electronic stuff
The best movie I've seen recently is called "Ya me voy", it's on netflix btw!
And my favourite book is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, a native American botanist who writes about the world in a very wise and empathetic way
What I Can Share with Hosts
Me and my sister are a pretty fun duo, we can tell you about life in different parts of Germany, teach you some German phrases, cook for you if you like, buy you a drink or a meal...
Lisa is super knowledgable about social issues and she always finds the best new music!
I could teach you about farming, plants and vegetables
If you eat eggs, we can bring you the best eggs in the world!
