About Me

This profile is for both my brother, Alex, and I. We'll be travelling together and thought it would be easier to make just one account.

I love to learn. Anything and everything preferably! One of my firm beliefs is that everybody should travel (especially when they're younger and still finding out who they are) in all sorts of countries, conditions and with different travel companions. Travel is the ultimate learning tool with the ultimate stakes. I also love meeting new, unique, quirky people and spending some quality time getting to know their perspective on life. Since many other Couch Surfer's love life philosophies, here's my take on it:
There is no point to life, so make your own; whether it be hiking up the highest mountains, believing in a higher power, or living your life out in a lab conducting research, it really doesn't matter. As long as you enjoy and learn something from your life as a conscious entity, you've completed it.

My brother, Alex, is an extremely hard worker and an incredibly funny person. For such a school nerd he's actually very charismatic and adept at networking. He's very accepting of others, which is always refreshing. If you're looking to meet an adventurous, athletic, intelligent and charismatic human being, Alex is the person for you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My brother and I both have a month off this summer and we are planning on traveling together for all of June. This past year has been quite the roller coaster, so we are traveling to meet people, experience new things outside of our comfort zone and to become more worldly.

We also think it's the perfect time to travel (and be broke) in our lives and we love connecting to all sorts of people. :)

1) Learning
2) Connecting with People

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of our (combined) top favorite:

Music: Mother Mother, Queen, Sound Garden, Local Bands, Alabama Shakes

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Anything with fantastical worlds, Documentaries

Books: Jonny Got His Gun, Hunger Games, Scientific American Mind, A Brief History in Time, Harry Potter

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Only One?
I've gone skydiving alone.

My brother (Alex) saved my life after we were in a car accident. Yeah, he's a boss.

Teach, Learn, Share

Firstly, I love teaching people of all sorts. I can teach you to appreciate the given moment (and the little things of course), all about advanced sailing, and overcoming trials in your life. Some of my favorite lessons to teach were the hardest ones to learn myself so I'd love to give a helping hand or talk things through.

I am willing to learn anything as long as it's appropriate for the given situation.

I am excellent at psychoanalyzing people and love to have long, drawn-out discussions regarding human nature, the universe, or anything unorthodox.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We are excellent, polite, and gracious guests. Guaranteed. We can share unique experiences, a new outlook on life, and things we've picked up from our corner of the world.

Alex and I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks for reading :)
