About Me

I love exploring .
I've lived and worked in several countries, travelled, cycled, and danced across some others.

I'm in love with nature, simply put :-)

I'm passionate about discovering and sharing what opens possibilities.
I'm also interested in how we can become resilient in these challenging times.

I've had a long term illness and I'm still recovering so take things gently. I like a fair amount of peace and quiet. If the whole world (human) could just slooow down and rest more.... I meditate . I dance. I walk.

I'm currently restoring ( slowly) a beautiful ancient house beside gorges, pools, and waterfalls in a mountainous wine growing area in south west france .

I'm inexplicably pleased when diversity, different opinions, and ways of life can co - exist and when we get over our fears of differences. I've enjoyed learning about ways to resolve conflicts and tried to practise that. I lived some years in war zones working alongside ordinary folk who finding ways to get on and resolve conflicts without violence.

I like celebrating friends' birthdays in imaginative ways ( mostly not involving money). I like special moments. The unexpected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer homes to hotels. I prefer simple. I like to take my time in places , discover their individuality and how people have been creative and ingenious in making life work there. I also couldn't afford to visit some countries if I was doing the hotel thing.

I love that such generosity and trust exists and I feel it even more important to welcome people and strangers than before due to the fear and turbulence of current main stream society. I wish to support and welcome people as the old traditions of hospitality to strangers did. And in gratitude for the hospitality I've received around the world. Just because we 're human. Lets delight in meeting .
