About Me
Hi! My name is Sophie and I just graduated from UC Berkeley! My friend (who just got accepted into dental school) and I are currently planning a post-graduation trip to Denmark, Russia, and Southeast Asia before we have to buckle down and start working, so I'm looking to meet cool people while exploring the world. I am down-to-earth, open to new adventures, and curious about other cultures, lives, & perspectives.
As students, we are both on a budget, so obviously Couchsurfing is ideal! But more importantly, we love exchanging cultures, stories, ideas, and learning as much as we can about others. If you are remotely interested in hosting us, please feel free to message me privately, and I'd be happy to provide my facebook or instagram!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is all over the place, but here are some of my favorites:
Kendrick Lamar, LEON, Drake, Banks, The Weeknd, SZA, ODESZA, Frank Ocean, Dua Lipa, Khalid, Cardi B, Post Malone, Oh Wonder, YG, alt-J
Movies:
Any expository documentary or thriller. I'm more into TV shows, either crime (HUUUGE Law &Order: SVU fan) or trash reality TV (we all need to be brainless sometimes).
Books:
I honestly haven't read for fun in quite a while due to the whirlwind/chaos that is undergrad at Berkeley, but when I do read I love a good sci-fi
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I wouldn't consider this "amazing," but I studied abroad in Florence, Italy for a semester and it completely changed my outlook on life. This experience made me reevaluate my goals, my career, and my happiness. I want to travel as much as possible in order to broaden the cultural perspectives I gained from this one experience. I think that there is so much to be learned, and I love challenging my current beliefs and perspectives on the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a lot more to learn than I can teach, but very open to sharing my (limited) life experiences and learning more about yours!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A positive, go-with-the-flow attitude. Maybe some jokes. Hopefully we can make fun of America together :')
