About Me

I have been traveling and working for the past two years. I graduated high school in Ann Arbor Michigan in 2013 and deferred the first- and then second - year of collage. It was a difficult, unorthodox, yet necessary choice to make. This fall i'll be back on the west coast ( The USA) at University of Oregon for my freshman year of undergraduate university.
I obviously love to travel and am extremely laid back, flexible, and self sufficient.
These past two years have been a blessing, only because I could afford to put off school and had the resources and support to travel and gain a certain level of practical and "real world" experience.
I am currently finishing up seven months in Madrid as an Au Pair ( is that suppose to be capitalized?). I'v had an amazing time and I'v learned so much.
On June 30th I plan to leave Madrid and travel Europe for a chunk of July before returning home. This of course is all relative to the time and money I have ( not a huge amount).
I wan't to stop in Barcelona for few days ( the last time I was there I didn't see much culture, only the beach and the clubs), then make my way to France to stay with family in Provence, and finally England to hopefully stay with friends in the north.
Im great with kids ( IDK that might be relevant)
I love animals. I'v been a bit pet deprived this past year so I am desperate to hang out with really any kind of animal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Easy and free ways to meet and stay with people around the world (I can't believe I just found out about this sight).
This is something I will definitely use from now on. But especially now, as I am making my way through Europe without much money , and leaving a lot of friends in Madrid behind to travel alone.

I probably satisfied this answer some in the box above ; About me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music; Lazy soul music, ambient ( thats a genre right?) music, R & B, Hip Hop, rap, house, club/dance music, anything with a good beat, old stuff, and new stuff, lots of it is Pop.

Movies; I'm down for pretty much anything- really bad movies and really good movies, I mainly love watching with other people.

Books; The last books I'v read- Game of Thrones, Atonement, The Little Prince ( in spanish, I tried, I struggled).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time I lost all my money on an island in Cambodia and then got a job for two weeks at the closest thing to a restaurant there- I chopped coconuts, helped catch fish, washed dishes in the ocean, and translated their menus for english tourists- it was an experience.
I made all the money back so I could get to where I was going next.

I couldn't have paid to have that kind of experience ( although I kind of did so never mind).

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach?
like what exactly?

Learn?
Teach what I'v learned?

Share?
Same thing?

What I Can Share with Hosts

This is "How I can contribute while staying with you" right?

I can cook and clean pretty well, in general I'm skilled domestically.
I'm more than ok with animals.
Im a certified life guard ( First Aid, CPR, strong swimmer).
I speak proficient spanish.
I'm very flexible.
I'm up/down for almost anything.
Is there anything else people would want to know?
