Hello! My name is Sophie, and I'm a musician from Winnipeg, MB. Through touring I have come to love everything about small towns and big cities in Canada, and I intend on visiting as many people and places as I can. I am a very positive and happy person who loves meeting new people and learning everything I possibly can! I love sharing meaningful experiences with people and having big laughs.

I am a musician and will be releasing my first ever album this upcoming year! In doing so, I will be embarking on my first ever solo tour. I intend on getting to know Canada through playing shows and building meaningful connections with new friends in every province. I will be looking for places to stay along my travels (whether that is a couch or a floor!) and look forward to meeting new people.

Sorry for my lack of references! I am very new to this site, but have a lot of experience in sleeping in new places and adapting to what my hosts need, whether that is fun conversation or a quiet and peaceful person.

I love many, many types of music and bands, but a couple of my recent favourite musicians include Wintersleep, Weakerthans, Joel Plaskett, Courtney Barnett, Lou Reed, of Montreal, Sufjan Stevens, and Ween. Ask me about music and we will be able to talk forever!

My favourite authors are Miriam Toewes and Haruki Murakami, and I really enjoy Ghibli films and Italian Horror!

Travelling Canada for the first time this year by touring as far west as Toffino, Vancouver Island and as far east as St John's, Newfoundland in the span of two months!

I am a very good listener and love to hear and tell stories. I also love to share music with people (hence the touring) whether it is playing music or listening together. I genuinely adore hearing peoples' lives and sharing my own with them in an authentic way, and I love to learn anything and everything that people have to offer! I believe that everyone has their own life experiences and skills to offer to the world and that is a beautiful thing.
