Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being the best house guest I possibly can! Entertaining you, lending a friendly ear, doing more than my share of housework, cooking for you on occasion.. Generally trying to be a positive, fun and helpful houseguest while respecting your privacy and space :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I spent a month on a couch in Brooklyn last year. I was very lucky, a friend set it up with his friend I'd never met before. Initially they just going to let me stay for a few days but we had such a good time together that I stayed there for the entire duration of my trip. Got to meet heaps of amazing people and volunteer at a film festival, and see a side of New York most tourists wouldn't. I love couchsurfing because spending time with people who live where you're travelling to makes your trip incomparably better.
Interests
I'm interested in people, how other live their lives, what interests them, how they percieve the world and what makes their individual essence. I'm interested in ideas, expression, communication, in making the most of every situation.

Music, Movies, and Books
ummm movies, mostly fluffy hollywood stuff but also bergman films, i also love cassavetes and almoldovar. my favourite film at the moment is probably 'valerie and her week of wonders'.
music: hip hop, house, trap, shoegaze, cloud rap, techno, pop music.
books: david foster wallace is a fave at the moment. i also really dig jonathan franzen. i love reading non fiction and theory stuff, books about gender politics, race, etc. i find brothers grimm and greek mythology really relaxing. other random stuff; anais nin, gabriel garcia marquez, 'bonfire of the vanities', 'transgender warriors'. lord of the rings.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going on exchange as a teenager to Denmark for a year, living with an Italian family in Matera for a week, too many good life moments to choose from.
Teach, Learn, Share
i'm a bit of a dilletante - i know bits about different things. i can show you some good music, talk to you about authors, about theory. i can rap along to the entirety of gin n juice if yr int that sort of thing.
