Hi everyone, I'm Sophie, I grew up in England, and I love to travel. I first went travelling when I was 23, flying solo to Australia. Where I met someone to travel with and together we went around Australia and then to New Zealand, Thailand, Vietnam, Fiji and LA. I would like to consider myself as a very creative, crafty, artsy individual. Always full of ideas and perhaps too many thoughts!!!! :-D I love taking long walks, strolling along the beach, or climbing hills just to see that amazing view! I like a relaxed life, stress isn't good for anyone! So I like to chill out and take it easy. Enjoy learning about Yoga, Buddhism, 'Awareness' and the more spiritual things in life. I do also consider myself a yogi but I need to practice yoga a lot more!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love getting out there and meeting people. I sometimes feel that staying in a hostel is not the right environment for me. It is sometimes more difficult and people do not greet you the way you first expect them to. Sometimes the best experiences come from meeting someone local or someone who has lived in the area for a little while to get a real idea of the place. Hostels are still a great way to meet others, but couch surfing is a totally different experience altogether. Another way of making friends and memories!

I like thrillers and adventure films, the odd rom-com, and perhaps a little bit of Disney from time to time...come on you can't forget the greats!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I consider flying solo to Australia with not a lot of confidence, or plans for that matter, pretty amazing. Perhaps others won't agree. But for me it was the most exciting ....yet extremely nerve-racking adventure of my life. And then to travel with someone and always have a friend made it that much more special.
