ABOUT ME

We met at uni while playing Ultimate Frisbee, started going out and never looked back. We both wanted a life a little less ordinary so headed down to Dorset to volunteer for a charity called Monkton Wyld Court; made ourselves integral to the workings of the site for just over a year and then branched out to see if we could get oversea's in a simpilar project. Hit a few bumps along the way so that never panned out but now really looking into humanitarin relief work overseas. Now we're living in Sheffield working jobs to get some money to skill up, such as learning French, doing some RedR courses, building up a contact base.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted a few people on our couches now and really enjoyed it. We've also been to a couple of different activities with surfers and had a great time with folks. Haven't really had a oppitunity to surf yet but we're sure that's just round the corner.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Just had our first surfers to stay, two Americans staying in the UK for a few months. It was great to meet them and had a great time with both of those guys. They helped us really look around our surrounding area for fun, interesting things to see and do that if we didn't look for then we would have missed; thank you for that guys. Well up for more folks staying with us and hopefully together we can investigate more of the East of Sheffield together.

Interests

Our main interest is Ultimate Frisbee - we train with the local Sheffield team but play with a bunch of friends from uni and other such places. We're also quite foodie, trying out new recipes and ingredients, having folks around for dinner. Even tried to get up an underground restaurant/supper club but our dinning space is just to small for it and can't get the couches out so that has been dropped til we get a better space to do it.
We have oth started cycling; we're hoping to do some weekend treks but not quite there yet, just enjoying the delights that the Peak District has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like most music, always willing to give stuff a try. Listening to a lot of "The National" at the moment and a long time listener to:
Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, the Killers, Massive Attack, the Eels and many more!
We go the cinema fairly often and watch most stuff that Sheffield Cineworld show. Really enjoy watching good TV boxsets, like the Wire, West Wing, Doctor Who stuff like that.
Birdsong, 1984 and His Dark Materials are probably up there as our favourites, but as before like a vast array of different genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tom: Everytime I go out running in the Peak District I realize how lucky I am to have such sights on my doorstep - a beautiful part of the world.
