About Me

Hey everybody!
I'm Sophie! I grew up in Melbourne, have spent some time living in London and travelling Europe/North Africa, four years in Townsville (Northern Australia) and a year travelling the Australian east coast. I love community, people, permaculture, sustainable farming, music, good food, guitar, caring for the planet, animals, festivals and more!

I have a campervan which I can sleep in, so really only need kitchen and bathroom access, and somewhere flat to park the van :)

Sometimes I do things on a whim :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done the bus tour thing, I've camped heaps, I've stayed in motels, hotels, backpacker joints, tents, swags - the lot. I'm up for something far more authentic now. I'm looking to make real connections with real people :)

Music, Movies, and Books

If I can name a book that changed my life, it is "The Power Of Now" by Eckhart Tolle.

I enjoy most music, but it depends on my mood and time of day.

I'm not much of a watcher of screens or TV or Netflix or any of that jazz. I'd rather do stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed to 4000m altitude in Morocco - that was pretty cool! It was stinking hot when we started the ascent but by the time we got to the top it was snowing! Also I crossed a landslide in India - most terrifying moment of my life. There was a dead horse at the bottom that had fallen.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you cooking, guitar, gardening, crafty things. I'll generally give anything a go. I would like to learn more car mechanical skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help cook a yummy dinner! I also love playing music and will readily jam along on guitar with any other instruments.
