Hi everyone, I'm Sophie, French girl living in Barcelona for more than 2 years now.

I grew up between Rouen (Normandy) and Paris, and had my first experience abroad in Italy after my master degree.

I spent a year there studying Italian and working and it was one of the best years in my life! I've been in love for many years with the Italian language, culture and food and I'm always looking for some excuses to go there and to meet new Italian friends.

I've been living and working in Barcelona since 2016 and I find live here just lovely. If you need any advice about what to do in the city I'm your woman!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first used CS to get to know some people and find some nice events when I moved to Rome and then to Barcelona. I met some great people there including my wife Anta...! coeur coeur

I traveled using CS for the first time during summer 2016 in Stockholm and in Finland, and it was a great experience :) Another time in Algeria, and hopefully during my next trip to Boston.

I cant host anyone for the moment because I'm renting a room in a shared apartment... But as soon as I'll have my own flat I'll change my status :) In the meantime feel free to ask me some questions about Barcelona, Rome, Perugia, Rouen or Paris. I will do my best to help you!

Interests

I love dancing (I danced modern jazz and contemporary dance classes for many years), and I started to learn bachata and cuban salsa! I also love taking photos, learning about history, art.

I'm supposed to be a runner, I ran the Barcelona half-marathon last winter but let's say I'm having a 6 months break right now... But I'm still active and enjoy to go to my bootcamp classes several times a week!

I'm a passionate reader, I always have a book in my bag, and I welcome any suggestions! Some of my favorite authors are Margaret Mazzantini, Simone de Beauvoir and Philippe Besson.

I'm keen on sports like football (Hala Madrid et allez les bleus :D), tennis and basketball.
