Overview
About Me
I'm in like with my bike. I cycle everywhere. I cycled to Paris from Brighton once just so I could be there for the final stage of the Tour de France... Totally worth it!
I'm hear to learn, anything and everything, to appreciate the moment and to be grateful for having the moment in the first place!
Originally, I trained as an architect, which was wonderful because you learn SO many different disciplines as part of the training. Last year, I put all of that on hold and looked after my Dad. He passed away in February and have now been afforded some time to really consider what I want from life and what I want to give back to it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For the minute I'm unable to host anyone, as I'm inbetween places myself! But in the near future should be able to again - watch this space. I've loved hosting and surfing up in Scotland several years ago, so now seems as good a time as ever to restart my involvement in this wonderful community - I hope you've all been looking after it for me!
Until then, I hope to meet people that I can welcome back one day! It's a wonderful chance to meet and make connections and it's always the best way to truly love a new city (and further my faith in humanity!)

Music, Movies, and Books
Northern soul and blues, Howlin' Wolf... whataguy. R'n'B, (Fats Domino, Ruth Brown) Rolling Stones, Father John Misty, Black Keys, The National... perhaps too many to sanely write here really. Besides, I will never be satisfied with my music knowledge, I LOVE hearing something new (or old).
Films: A Single Man, Lost In Translation, Cool Hand Luke, anything Wes Anderson. And Mean Girls.
I've really loved the latest Jon Ronson, 'So you've been publicly shamed' very interesting and terrifying in equal measure, but as it should be perhaps. Sure makes you consider your online presence!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
En route to becoming an architect, I spent a semester studying it in french in Rouen, which was a steep learning curve, especially as I'd been told it'd be in english! That said, I loved every second of it and perhaps one day will move back to France. It was a great thing to relearn how to be a child, to be curious, to try (speaking french, knowing it was wrong) and be unafraid of trying. I hope everyone can have a chance at that again some time, it's a wonderful thing to find again.
