About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding my happiness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love how CS helps you to explore places from a personal angle of locals. I loathe the typical tourist spots most tourist offices propose and I rather measure my experiences how I felt and which people I met during the travels than on the number and names of the buildings and mountains I've seen.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only two, so far. Amazing Tyler let me and my friend stay at his place when we arrived in Los Angeles.
And Brendan gave me a home the first night I arrived in Dublin.
Interests
Hey there! To lose a few words, ..., well, first and foremost I love dancing. When I am happy I dance and sing and hum along, so look out for those signs! I appreciate dance in all its forms but for myself mostly when I just go clubbing to let go or when I lose myself in a good round of Forró. It makes me happy how dance connects me to myself and to other people.
In general, I can get excited about almost anything. I am happy to learn new sports or skills, and friends would argue that I rather have a lack of time than a lack of interests.
Work wise I am a computer scientists by training that changed her focus to neuroscience for her further studies. Currently, I am doing my PhD in Computational Neuroscience. Whoop!!!
Yeah, and well, as most csler I like to travel ;)
I actually only recently got into it, and even though my profile states otherwise I am quite a newbie to CS. Let's hope the journey will be bountiful...

Music, Movies, and Books
Books:
Der Trafikant (love how it's written)
The game of thrones (the books, not the series! Read them twice and I await the sequels anxiously)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A live seaturtle in Kythnos, Greece.
I just backpacked along the Westcoast of Ireland. And it was stunning. The people, the landscape, the relaxed pace. An amazing place.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook (not a chef, but I cooked for myself during my studies almost every night), I was told I am a good listener and I have a good nature.
I know about data science ... yes also about these deep neural networks.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My smile and positive attitude. You can ask me any silly question about Germany, being German or other things you are dying to ask. ;)
Countries I’ve Visited
France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany, United States
