About Me

CURRENT MISSION: LEARN TO COOK AND MEET LOCALS IN IRAN. :-)

I have just spent 5 months cycling in Central Asia and want to explore Iran before returning home. I have been fascinated by Iran for many years after hearing how wonderful the locals are. I am also a complete foodie and have a mission to learn to cook some delicious typical Iranian dishes. I will be traveling with my wonderful friend Astrid from Denmark. Together we want to explore Iran, see historical sights, meet locals and COOK. When I return home I will be MAKING A BOOK. The idea is to include stories, photographs and recipes from 18 countries.... and of course Iran has to be included. So if you want to meet 2 happy people, teach us about your culture, and cook together then please host us. (Note... I do have a serious food allergy to gluten/ wheat which is inconvenient but it's a medical condition. Means just Astrid will be eating all that yummy bread.)

I am a New Zealander enjoying traveling the world and making friends along the way. I love to photograph, experience new cultures and travel by bicycle!

I am interested in alternative living, art, sustainability, peoples stories and nature. In New Zealand I love to surf and practise yoga.

We are so thankful for any help along the way. Love meeting people in this community and sharing experiences, food, cultural exchange.

I have a food allergy to gluten (think bread, wheat, barley, rye) but we try to be prepared and bring our own food!

Thank you for being apart of this community.
