About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To eat as much chocolate as possible.
ABOUT ME
I've had several living-overseas obsessions in the last few years. One of them involves me living in a small town (particularly a one-horse town) in Texas in the USA, working in a saloon bar and riding a horse to work (the only horse available in the town). Another involves me living in a small apartment on a really high floor, maybe in New York City or Paris or Budapest. The other one involves me living in the Australian countryside in a big house with a huge verandah, with big gumtrees all around and magpies waking me up in the morning. I can't really decide which one is the best, mainly because they're totally not what my life is like now!!! In other news: I like dogs but they make me sneeze. I like to be fair and generous and polite but sometimes that gets me into trouble. I'd like to think that I was a generally pleasant person. I try to play the guitar. I like talking to people, etc etc
PHILOSOPHY
Asking is good, listening is even better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to think that I can make someone's travel experience just a little richer. That's a presumptuous thought, I know. But what with my fabulous lentils and vegetarian lasagna, my brilliant mind and superhuman abilities, how could anyone complain!!!!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Traveling, Hosting, Meeting, Greeting, Loving being a part of it.
Interests
Trees, Live Gigs, Good Music, Good Books, Red Wine, sometimes Cheap White Wine... Trips into the wilderness. Big Hurried Cities. Loud music in headphones. Wandering through an unfamiliar city with a soundtrack in my head. My red bike! Making things, or at least starting to make them, and then thinking about finishing them. Traveling, especially with other people. Cold Weather when I am warm inside a big jacket.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some arabic, some japanese, some danish or spanish. Probably really badly. I can teach you how to make the best gluten-and-dairy-free cake in the world. I can show you how to walk on stilts or ride a unicycle (must provide apparatus). I can introduce you to some music you'll never have heard of before and I'd hope that you might do the same. I'll might even teach you how to do the fork-and toothpick trick.
