Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To start a non-profit, alternative, holistic middle school that is inspired by the Reggio, Montessori, Waldorf and free, democratic school movements.
ABOUT ME
Originally from England, I moved to Virginia about three years ago. I graduated from Exeter University in England and studied abroad at William and Mary. I spent my childhood living in Australia, Singapore and England. I've travelled throughout America, Europe, Australia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that life is entirely about learning and the transformation of all experiences into something positive and meaningful. Everyone has their own, individualized purpose that involves helping and loving each other and the planet, which manifests at some point during their lifetime. I believe in the daily practice of compassion, kindness and non-judgment. Also, I think that it's important to be aware of the transitory nature of all things, especially money and material possessions. Happiness and success are not measured by the money one makes, or how many materials one acquires.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 19, I visited a friend in Jordan, and there was one particular day that is emblazoned in my memory. We travelled to Petra and walked to the Treasury. I took my camera with me and took some great photos of the meandering red rock. That evening, we went by jeep to Wadi Rum to camp in the desert with the Bedouins. I have never seen a night sky so vibrant and clear as I did in Wadi Rum. We were surrounded by nothing but sand, stars and rolling hills.
And....the road trip I'm currently on! Life changing.
