About Me

Since I was little I always loved meeting new people and discovering places. Being in the outdoors is one of my favorite pastimes, but in cities I am drawn to museums, bookstores, art and architecture.
If I have to choose a game to play it will be UNO - and yes, only the old classic version!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am trying couch surfing because I feel like we as humans need a community of divers people who we can share ideas and experiences with and this is a great way to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

My family and friends always say I should have gone to Woodstock and lived during '68...
Some of the artist I love are Peter, Paul and Marry; Miriam Makeba; Simon and Garfunkel; The Beatles; The Kooks; Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and Creedence Clearwater Revival
But of course I also listen to more modern music like Giant Rooks, Leoniden, Bukhara, Queen Omega, Jimmy Clifton and Grandson
Bonus for all the German Speakers: Bots, Hannes Wander, Die Grenzgänger, Jamaram and Unheilig

Almost every evening or when I am commenting you will find me reading. I mostly read nonfiction but I also love some good classics or the occasional fiction book; my latest read and recommendation in that area is Octavia E. Butlers book Parabel of the Sower. My favorite book of all time that made me cry is Wonder by R.J. Palacio.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the thing I am most proud of in my life are my connections to my friends. Two of my closest friends and I meet when we were only a few months old and even though we have all changed time and all lived abroad an extended period of time we stay as close as ever and are going strong in 22 years of close and defining friendship!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be super grateful even just for someone to show me around to get a local feel for the city!
