About Me

Hello! I'm from Melbourne, Australia - where I've lived most of my life. I currently live inner city, but grew up in a smaller town outside of Melbourne, nearby to a beautiful forrest area known as the Dandenong Ranges. I love cooking (vegetarian food), hiking, swimming, yoga, listening to live music, photography and meeting new people. Unfortunately I only speak English fluently at the present, but would love to learn more languages. I love food and learning about local cuisine in other countries. I lived in Lulea, Northern Sweden for 5 months, and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for 5 months. Both incredibly different places that I can tell you a lot about. I've nearly graduated from university, studying mechanical engineering and industrial design. I've started working as a sustainability/building physics engineer in the construction/architecture space.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently travelling for 2 months. My main reason for the trip was to visit Iran and Georgia, although I've just been in Bosnia and Croatia for several weeks prior.

A lot of people have told me about how wonderful Iran is - though even better when you're shown around by a local. Friends have said how generous and lovely Iranian people are, and I would love to meet some of you whilst travelling! As I'm travelling alone, I hope to meet people to experience these countries with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When living in northern Sweden I did a lot of hiking. A highlight was camping and canoeing near the Kungsleden trail, nearby an area called Nikkaluokta. Watching the northern lights from our campsite at night was pretty cool!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love building things, and learning local craft skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

English lessons (if desired), bad jokes, stories, and my best attempt at cooking.
