About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Leave the world better than it was when I came to it...
ABOUT ME
Well, what to tell you about me? I'm a fan of making bullet point lists, so here I go!
-I'm finishing off a bachelor development studies at the moment, hoping to start a master in sustainable development this fall. Im' doing this in my home city Uppsala where I'm just about to move into a flat with two friends.
-2009-2010 I did 10 months volunteer work in England where I worked in a home for learning disabilities, about 45 minutes away from Leicester.
-I don't eat meat (I might eat some fish at special occasions), but it's OK if you eat meat (though I won't cook it for you;))
Sustainability is my passion, and I'm described as a very caring person. I tend to laugh a lot and make those around me laugh as well ;) Singing is great, too, and sharing philosophies about life.
PHILOSOPHY
Treat others like you want to be treated. My dream is to help the world develop, and leave it in a better state than I found it. It feels like a duty to me to use my priviledges to support others who weren't as lucky in this lottery of life, and ensure others get their basic needs covered.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a few times, and it's been awesome! One great experience was hosting an american exchange student who didn't have access to her room until the day after she arrived. The first thing we did was waiting for each other for an hour, outside two different cafés- there were two with the same name with less than 100 metres in between them... Then we had so much fun, talking until 4 am in the morning- I'm so happy I agreed to host her!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen the sunrise from Mount Taishan, the most holy of China's five holy mountains. The daoists belive that mount Taishan holds the world together, and it's many chinese peoples dream to see the sun rise from the top of the mountain. It was amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have Swedish as a native language and don't mind teaching you some if you like. I'm an educated ambassador for Fairtrade (have been trained to hold seminars) and could probably teach you about that and a bit about development. Climate change is also something I know a great deal about. I only eat vegetarian food so I could always cook for you (at own risk, I'm not exactly Gordon Ramsey). I love languages and would definitely like to learn more if you'd teach me! I kind of enjoy dancing as well.
