Olá!
I'm a young portuguese girl living in France.
I come from a small village located in Odemira, in the south region of Portugal, where nature is pure, landscapes are breathtaking, beaches are stunning, the clima is warm... and people are friendly and very, very hospitable.
I grew up surrounded by my family, the most supportive and caring people I have ever known, and my friends, childhood friends with who, 23 years later, I am still very close to.
My mother has a cafe, so all my life I have been used to see and meet different people. Very young I began to be interested in learning languages and later on I started to be very curious about other cultures too. Learning languages and knowing how to respect different cultures became useful but also enjoyable to me, not only to help my mother with her work, as well as to grow as an individual.
Communication is also a very important part of my life. Sometimes, the way we say things, the expressions we use or the body gestures we adopt might completely change the way others interpret something...
So that's why I decided to study Languages & Communication in University of Algarve. After a bachelor and three years living in Faro, traveling here and there around Europe, I felt the need to experience living abroad. I applied to teach Portuguese language and Lusophone culture in University of Jean Monnet, in Saint-Étienne... and here I am! It has been three years and I could not be happier with the adventures I lived since I got here and the knowledge I got from the people that crossed my path!
I am a mix of a peaceful soul with an energetic spirit... A combination of a sensitive, modest and kind girl, with a clumsy, passionate, dreamer, crazy personality.
I like to help other people and I believe that with small but kind actions we can make the difference in someone's life. I personally believe that we all have chances do create a better world :)
