About Me
CURRENT
To farm, travel and be a student of the world! Learn from plant teachers, animal teachers, and human teachers.
ABOUT ME
By profession I am an elementary school teacher, but I have spend the last couple years living on organic farms and learning how to grow food, make cheese and work with animals. I started out WWOOFing all over the place and then more recently landed formal farming apprenticeships and jobs. I have pretty strong values which have led me to make certain choices and career changes in my life. I'm in Washington for the summer living on a goat farm and working in a creamery. Mount Rainier is right there and so are some road trips on the coast. So far, I love the Pacific Northwest and want to explore some more! As a couch surfer I am thoughtful, considerate, resourceful, and friendly!
PHILOSOPHY
"As a poet I hold the most archaic values on earth . . . the fertility of the soil, the magic of animals, the power-vision in solitude, the terrifying initiation and rebirth, the love and ecstasy of the dance, the common work of the tribe. I try to hold both history and the wilderness in mind, that my poems may approach the true measure of things and stand against the unbalance and ignorance of our times" - gs
