I'm an imperfect person on a journey of life striving to help easy human suffering and helping to solve problems in some international way. Currently on a 9-month volunteer program in Lod where we work with marginalized communities teaching English in schools and other programs, helping NGO's, and doing some informal learning (I'm beginning to get conversational in Hebrew, and just beginning to learn Arabic).

Before this, I received a B.A. in International Affairs and French and minored in Music in the US.

I love learning about the world, other languages and cultures, having profound discussions, analyzing the world, going hiking, playing viola, music, and more ! I'm striving to listen to others and to understand varying perspectives and ways to view things, as well as to seek and honor the complexity and nuance within so many things and life itself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to find an affordable way to travel for cultural and linguistic experiences and knowledge about the history, geography, and culture of various places in the world. I also want to learn more through talking with people and creating connections about what exists in our beautifully complex world, as well as teach and offer stories and perspectives to others, as wanted.
