About Me

Hello! My name is Soren and I hail from Montana, USA. Let's start simple:
-
Three things I love: God, my 6-year-old sister Kira and Hungarian thermal baths
Three things I like: learning to cook new recipes, Portuguese wine and designing websites as a freelance worker
Three things I don't like: artichokes, mean people and digital information overload
-
I'm a young woman who recently graduated from Duke University in the USA with a major in Visual & Media Studies and a Minor in Economics. At school, I learned to produce and edit video, make friends that make you feel good (and not just make your Instagram look good!), view the world with a critical eye and have great meaningful conversations.
-
Instead of accepting a "normal person" job after graduated, I booked a one-way flight to London, England for October 2018 and have been traveling ever since. I am "slow traveling," which essentially means that, well, I'm traveling slowly... think less like a tourist and more like a short-term resident of a place. I stay in one city for about 4-6 weeks at a time then move on, and travel on weekends when time allows! It's been amazing to experience the different cultures and people... so, so eye-opening.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I booked a one-way ticket to London without any plans and have been going for about 9 months now! So that's pretty cool I think.
