About Me

Servus!
I'm a easy-going guy who likes meeting new people. I travel to explore new cultures, climb and enjoy warm beaches.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that the couchsurfing community offers an awesome way to create and share memories. Let's go!

Interests

I try to stay open to new inputs and ideas, so I have a long list of interests. The top ones include hiking, mtb, surfing, skiing and climbing. I love sports in general, mostly the one that takes you to the outdoors.
I spend quite a lot of time climbing - love the physical and mental challenge of this sport, and combined with the social aspect it makes this the perfect activity for me! I manage to go swimming in the fjord most days of summer, and do some pre-sauna dip during winter. You should try the winter edition, it's a challenge :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Within most generes you find good and bad music, so good quality music might be my fluffy answer. The style depending a lot on the mood and situation.
Movies: Snatch. Abre los ojos. Flåklypa Grand Prix. Blinkende Lygter.
Books: Why Zebras don't get ulcers, Robert Sapolsky. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Moonwalking with Einstein.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Acknowleding that my kale-smoothies project was a disaster, though healthy, they are horrible to gulp down. The world is a better place without them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know you yet, so hard to say what can be tought or learned. I'm fond of sports so sharing a day out with activity and learning new skills is definitely something i appreciate.
Also sharing some cultural exchange or party tricks - or maybe thats the same :)

Off course also sharing my cottage home which has a small garden, grill and a game of darts. All you need for a good evening!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Practical stuff:
Couch indoor or a grass slot for camping in the garden.
I have a couple of bikes that you are very welcome to use.
I might also have access to a car (there are some great sites around Nordjylland outside of Aalborg).
I have a kayak and the a small river close by that runs to the fjord.
Gear for kite surfing.
Surfboards.
Hammock.
Slackline.
Climbing club close by.
Two longboards.
Homebrewed beer.

I've lived in Aalborg for a long time, so I know the city quite well. I'll guide you to what to see and do.
Also I'll try to provide some danish "hygge" and I'm daring to say: some reasonable skills of cooking :)
