About Me
Firstly, a little explanation about my lack of references here; On my new profile, you'll find some references and some more on my old profile (https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2299708/profile - I can't retrieve the password for my old account). I have also hosted about a dozen of cyclists, some of whom from WarmShowers (https://goo.gl/mJPNIW). I post my travel photos on my Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/sorsaffari/).
About me:
I like to code (mostly web applications), read, cycle, camp, hike and, of course, travel. Lately, I have realised the part of me that cares deeply and compassionately about human rights. I guess, considering my recent activities and what I hope for the future, I am a human rights activist, focusing, at this point in time, on the Woman, Life, Freedom movement - women, minorities and children's rights, to be more specific.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Years ago when I first read about Couchsurfing in a magazine, I was fascinated by such a simple yet extremely positive concept. In my trips back home, every time I had the chance, I hosted backpackers via CouchSurfing and cyclists via WarmShowers. I showed them my country, brought them to the homes of Iranians and told them everything I knew about the culture and traditions of my people. The joy of sharing with good strangers was just the beginning. From that very first Aussie backpacker I hosted, I knew for a fact that one day I will do the same. That someday 'I' will be the traveler embraced in the culture of someone else's land.
I am fortunate to be able to have such dream and I'm here on Couchsurfing to celebrate this opportunity. While I still can, as long as there is the possibility, I will travel for the sake of my desire for adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share
I like to talk, listen and ask (sometimes difficult) questions.
I have helped build startups, so if that's something you're into, I'll be more than happy to share my experience.
I'd love to learn new recipes and perhaps share some :)
