ABOUT ME

I live in a calm suburb north of Stockholm. During the day, also known as the best part of the day, I work with IT and during the rest I wonder why I'm stuck in an office and not outside actually experiencing the world.

Most adventure nowdays seem to revolve around cave diving. As a responsible caver I always grow my caving beard when away during caving season. As well as eating too much cheese tortellini and always having a sleeping bag near by.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything has solutions. The only problem is choosing the right one. Getting away from the modern world for a little while doing new things tends to sort things out. That, and good friends.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I am here. I think it is fun to meet new people on a regular basis.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No actual 'couch surfing', but quite a few odd backpacking experiences staying at budget hostels/homes. My favorite is the one in Balaklava with Igor and his dog Yank, and drinking vodka for two nights. As the t-shirts said, Vodka - connecting people'. For some strange reason you start to connect after a lot of that wonderful drink. Odd how insignificant language is to being able to communicate.

Interessen

It tends to vary by the season. Snowboarding and diving in the winter. Caving, camping, cycling and climbing in the summer. And of course geocaching whenever I get bored.

Also reading up on new things, various computery things, movies, music, books, diy and so on. For some reason minimalism and decluttering has really begun to resonate with me.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Both books and movies tend to be horror and sci-fi. I prefer to listen to electronic music, but most genres are acceptable in low doses. Apparently a lot of stand up comedy has been sneeking up on me as well.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

There are so many that a single one is not enough. It ranges from tropical waterfalls, being the first one beyond a sump in an unexplored cave to the cold sterile Swedish winter. Right now, it's the cave diving expeditions that really gets me going.
