ABOUT ME

Until a year ago we were living in Nashville TN. We quit our jobs (education and construction) and hit the road to see old friends, make new ones, and to see how folks were living in different places around the US. We hitchhiked up and down the east coast, out to California and back, and then just rode our bicycles 700 miles to Northeastern Pennsylvania where our friends manage a 300 acre organic farm. We lived there for a month and then moved to Ithaca so Michelle could go to herbal medicine school. We love to eat, play games, go swimming, look at plants, and support each other and our local community.

PHILOSOPHY

one day we were sitting around the living room and i asked "what did we buy in this room" and we looked around the room. and looked. and finally decided that the only thing that we had purchased was painting from a friend for a hundred bucks.
we found everything else, or it may have been given to us. buy only what you need. give away the rest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted and traveled on and off for the last few years and now its time for us to host again! Having spent the last year on the road together we had to rely on the kindness of strangers may times and if anyone is traveling in or through this area we want to make sure you have a place to stay.

our dog likes to run down slides. but you probably already know how to do that.

i'm learning how to play the ukulele.
