Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My mission is to meet and connect with people all over the world, and experience authentic cultures
ABOUT ME
Quiet, honest, respectful person. I can be shy, but when I'm comfortable around people I'm quite outgoing. I love meeting and getting to know new people, and I love experiencing real culture. I'm also fascinated by history, and I love nature. I'm outdoorsy and adventurous - I like to hike, climb, swim, bike (and probably most things people do outside). I do also love books (especially from second hand bookstores), movies, music, and cooking.
PHILOSOPHY
I love people, I value integrity, generosity, and I try my best to constantly grow more as a person. I'm a bit of a private person, but I'd be happy to share more about myself once you get to know me :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Not sure what to put here :) but I've done a ton of volunteer work over the years, all up and down western Canada. My family has always had a full house of people staying, whether friends, family, students, or generally people in need. My husband and I often host friends and family (we don't have much room but we make do).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Unfortunately none who are on couchsurfing (yet), but my husband and I have done month long trips up and down BC and have met/stayed with many wonderful people we now call friends.
Interests
Travel, music, simple photography, and most outdoor activities like hiking, exploring, etc. My husband and I are especially in love with Scandinavian history and culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
For movies, Big Fish, Lord of the Rings, Troll Hunter, etc. For TV, The Mentalist, Vikings, The Walking Dead, anything by Wes Anderson. For books, The Hobbit, Burial Rights, Relic. Anything creative or mysterious.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My husband and I watched seaturtles lay eggs in a thunderstorm in Mexico, and taught English in Cost Rica at age 17. I live on a beautiful island and have explored it as much as I'm able :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to share about myself, my adventures, and my life together with my husband. We are both down to earth and familiar with being in other cultures, and so love to exchange with people.
