About Me

I have always been addicted to changes. I grew up in Bangladesh and my parents had to always change the city every 4 or 5 years due to the nature of their work. And I picked up the same habit from there. I kept changing my city even after I moved out. I also kept changing what I did because that is what kept me going. I grew up as a passionate musician, then pursued my bachelor's in Computer Science, then left both to work in theaters. Right now I'm on my next journey. I'm currently doing my master's in Germany in a beautiful city called Bamberg. To be honest it was rather my wish to keep travelling and to live in other places, the reason why I chose to start my master's here. With my passport (which is one of the weakest in the world), it was impossible for me to travel in this part of the world. So right now, whenever I have the opportunity, I try my best to use that see as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to travel the world and meet new people. I found out that the people of a new place is equally attractive for me compared to the new place. I love meeting people from different countries. And what I find most amazing is not the difference between different cultures and races, but the similarities between every people. And also for me, coming from not a developed country, it's impossible to travel while living in a hotel. And even if I could afford that somehow, I would still have preferred to stay with the local people and have fun with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classic rock music, post rock, Indie music and some jazz and folk as well. I also have found interest in electronic music in different alternative festivals. Most of the books I've read are in Bengali mainly from Sunil Gangapaddhay, Manik Bondopadhay and Rabindranath Thakur (I would love to share my knowledge about them). From the writers of international fame, Gabriel Marquez and Haruko Murakami are some of my favorites. I'm not that much of movie person though. Most of my favorite movies are probably musicals or music documentary movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure how to pick one!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge about the Indian region (India, Bangladesh, Nepal etc) if they are interested. I would love to pick up an instrument and jam if the host is interested. And I would be happy to roll the joints as well!
