About Me

I am a finance student, just having being bitten by the wanderlust bug. Happy with some good food and a chilled beer, I normally am very agreeable.
Having been born in Calcutta, i have spent most of my childhood in Bombay and Bhubaneshwar. My dad was a senior government employee and as such i spent a great deal of my childhood travelling all over the country, subsidised by our illustrous and wonderful, The GoI.

Might not look like one from my pictures, but I'm a bookworm and love a good read.
Don't get me started on any interesting topic. I'm afraid neither will i be able to stop, nor will you get bored. :D
I'm mostly non political, but get me drunk enough and i will start proclaiming to be more capitalistic than Adam Smith. (Haven't read the darn book tho :V)

Oh and, I l love vintage bikes and vespa's.

I think i prefer beaches to mountains.

Can reasonalbly say, have visited every state in the country, with family. Plan to do the same, as an hitch hiker.

Conversations beside a bon fire, long winding rides, lazy beach afternoons and early morning sunrise yoga are definitely "my thang".

Too lazy to upload pictures here so,

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am young, and such have the advantage of youth and time on my side. Given the nature of my profession, i might not be lucky enough to have one or the either or maybe both later on. I wish to utilise this to my advantage. Till recently, travelling and a happy life for me were symbolised by luxury and comfort. I managed to break free from that mentality and have been testing unknown waters ever since.

After a serious of seemingly unconnected, quite the opposite in reality, I ended up beating my blues and backpacking, in a rudimentary sense, across India.

And then I chose to go to Thailand, to volunteer as the National Director of Finance for the Thai chapter of AIESEC, the world's largest youth run organisation in consultative status with the UN.

While doing these, I came to realise that the real value or quality of a country or place, lies in the people that live there- much like the people that live in a house, compels one to call it home.
If i ever want to get to experience a place its entirety, i have to get to know the poeple better.
And thus, I came to love living, making and collecting stories. :')
