About Me

Hello and welcome! My name is Sourabh Aggarwal. I was born and grew up in India. My love for languages, foreign cultures and a deep curiosity about all things in life is the biggest drive for traveling. I would really like to get you keen or keener on traveling.

I am a vegetarian but not a vegan at all. I do eat eggs, fish or any meat products. I do not drink beer, alcohol and wine. I do not do smoking at all. I love the people who do all these things. As per my opinion, everyone has to live a life with full freedom and in your own style. Day by day, you will get to know many people in your life and it will help you to become a better person who is more practical and easy-going. I do agree with the fact that, life has been changed when you met with a special person and you have to embrace the interest's of someone with your arms forever.

Ever since I started to think about what I wanted to do in life, it has always been something creative, something fun and new! I always wanted to discover the traveler in me. Somewhere deep down inside, I knew that I can travel all around the world.

Traveling can be sort of magical. It's unpredictable and beautiful and sometimes downright confusing. But that's the beauty of it — you never really know what to expect when you pack that bag and leave home behind. I think one of the best things about traveling is the ability to just get lost in it. To set aside the maps and itineraries, and just see where the road carries you off to, learning and evolving and living in the moment along the way.

When it comes to travel, there's no “best” or “right” way to do it. You could fly 10,000 miles to have an adventure, or you could simply walk down the street and discover something new.

And guess what? You don't have to, either. You don't have to quit your job or leave your loved ones behind indefinitely in order to be a traveler.

I am a huge people-person. I am a software engineer, entrepreneur, traveler and cyber security professional.

When I'm not working, I usually research about different countries and about their lifestyle, cuisines, tourist attractions and their native language. I do this thing just to explore my passion towards traveling. I am very much a kid at heart, love to cook, watch stand-up comedy, play chess, and travel whenever I'm awarded the opportunity.

It is not only important to me to live my very best life, but it’s also important to be able to share what I have learned so others can possibly live theirs. I hope in some way you will be inspired to create you dream life, by picturing your ideal future and then taking the steps necessary to go out there and get it.

My mission is to help like-minded travellers become more independent, travel in a smart and sustainable way, lead a healthy lifestyle and travel more.

DREAM IT - CREATE IT - DO IT

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To find like minded travelers and friends around the globe. I just live, and I want to take everything out of life! I love to meet people from other countries, and maybe visit them later.

Hospitality is part of culture. When you go in someone house you are going to get the inner part of the local culture. Be ready to offer your culture, but also to accept local one.

Chiefly I am on Couchsurfing to get to know like-minded people, welcome unlike-minded people too, learn their culture/traditions and learn their native language. I challenge myself to welcome everyone who satisfies the conditions below..

(1) Must share knowledge and some exciting things about their home country
Why? I am a person who always believe to know something new and exciting. However, I usually do my research about different countries on the internet. I am equally interested to find an opportunity to meet others of many international and ethnic backgrounds. I this as supporting the CS ethos of meeting and learning from people of international backgrounds. For those who wants to share more their about their country then please make a connection with me today.

(2) Travel Experience If You Have Any
If you have any travel experience in the past then you can share your experience with me. Otherwise, you will kindly undertake to tell me where would you like to go in the future.
Why? It is very helpful to share the travel knowledge. It is the stepping stone to make great travel plans in future.

(3) References - A Couch Request implies agreement to write a 'surfing' reference upon departure [not a personal reference which has little value since any CouchSurfer can write a personal reference to any other]. Naturally this will be reciprocated by a hosting reference, and there is a time limit of 14 days after leaving to write one. After 14 days' delay, a subsequent written reference will be classed as a personal reference, which is of less value since any member can write one to any other, even without ever meeting.
Why? Gratitude is an important part of the CS project. By writing a Couch Request, it is assumed this is recognized.

Yes, I often meet with people from different communities, but only those that are genuine couchsurfers...!!!

It's called a "stay" because the experience will never leave you... !!!

I maintain COUCHsurfing and CROWDsurfing are basically the same thing — you're falling into the audience and you're trusting each other.

If you are just looking for a free place to stay, then you have not understood the meaning of CouchSurfing: please try your luck elsewhere. Your own sleeping bag and towel are a big plus.

I love CouchSurfing as a human community, as an inspiring experience.

Interests

I want to learn Salsa dance then do this dance on Mariachi music. If you want to exchange something exciting and interesting, let's get connected! Also, I like watching movies and traveling around the world. I also have huge enthusiasm in cooking. I want to learn swimming so I can feel more freedom under the water. I love to visit Museums and art galleries. I love to do Yoga and Meditation. I am an artist too and I love to do painting and sketching.
