ABOUT ME

I read everything, and I like to talk about what I read. I'd like to work in an archaeology museum someday in a more prestigious capacity than 'undergrad intern,' my current job description. I spend most of my days cataloguing information about broken bits of ancient pottery, necklaces, and cuneiform tablets. I like to cook vegetarian food and then eat it. Given the choice between a stroll in the country and roaming an unfamiliar city, I will take the second option every time. I have a Flannery O'Connor tattoo.

I love Michael Chabon, John Cheever, Raymond Chandler, and some other authors whose names don't begin with 'ch' (Flannery O'Connor among them). I listen to the Clash, Paul Simon, Elton John, Iggy and the Stooges, Patti Smith, Morrissey, the Drive-By Truckers, etc.--I prefer my music to incorporate either electric guitar or some other, equally bombastic instrument. I'm currently working my way through the television series Rome, which I like very much.
