About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To recapture my inner Streber
ABOUT ME
Hi, I am a native New Orleanian who has lived in Berlin, Amsterdam, Istanbul and now I call Bushwick, Brooklyn Home. And yes, I say ya'll. Alot.
I work at an international exchange not for profit. I get to speak German all day and help international students and young professionals come and intern in the US. Oh yeah, I get health insurance- so kinda a big deal.
I love my bike- so much. Kanye, as she is called, is my constant companion and if I surf your couch, chances are she will come along.
I am a non-smoker (I quit because a pack costs 13 bucks in ny! that'll get you to quit but quick!) but I am not offended by any kind of smoking.
PHILOSOPHY
"Muss es sein? Ja, es muss sein."
"It takes a lot of money to look this cheap."- Dolly Parton
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By sharing couch experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed in Copenhagen- and it was generally amazing- new people- new places, what more could a girl ask for!
Interests
Reading, Writing, and 'Rithmetic.
I love to read, my current obsessions include, but are not limited to, Lolita, House of Leaves, and the The New York Time Guide to Essential Knowledge.
I also enjoy music and I am unabashedly a fan of Southern hip hop and Dolly Parton.
Finally, I like to pop, lock, and drop it, all while exploring new places.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can admit here, rather than repeating myself, my hopeless obsession with Jane Austin and my relatively new obsession with non-fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived through Hurricane Katrina.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my knowledge of Turkish, I can make a mean Turkish breakfast. I also work as a tour guide so I know a lot about the city where I live. Finally, I love a music style known as Bounce, a sound that originated out of New Orleans. So hook up the learning!
