About Me
ABOUT ME
Honors Biology BScH, Magna Cum Laude '21 (California State University, Fresno)
Previous ER scribe/doctor's assistant of 5 years
NIH funded cancer researcher
Classically trained violinist of 16 years
Ex competitive ski racer
For someone with a serious career goal and résumé, I am a very unserious, laid-back, and silly person. My valued qualities within myself are kindness and empathy and these are also qualities I admire the most in others. I am a meticulous, clean, and respectful person. I was born and raised in Vientiane, Laos and emigrated to the US when I was 5 years old. In my time in the US, I became a concert violinist, a cancer researcher, an ER doctor's assistant who worked throughout the pandemic, and a social justice nonprofit worker. After receiving my bachelors of science and my US citizenship, I am finally back in my home country of Laos and reconnecting with my family and my roots.
I plan on backpacking and traveling throughout Asia and getting to know many travelers while I am back in Laos. I LOVE food and am an adventurous eater. I hope to meet people who would like to go on eating adventures as well.
I am currently taking a gap year before applying to medical school.

PHILOSOPHY
"There's something about death that is comforting. The thought that you could die tomorrow frees you to appreciate your life now."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to meet people from all over the world and share experiences and stories. I hope to be able to host people at my home in Fresno, California and Vientiane, Laos.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I made this account 10 years ago (2013) and recently logged back on. I mainly used this site to do language exchanges and connect with people all over the world and have been hosted 1 time in the past.
Interests
I am passionate about abolition, powerlifting, houseplants (specifically aroids and carnivorous plants), bugs, frogs, interior design, League of Legends, and going on food adventures.
I love music festivals and my favorite party trick is picking up large men and spinning them around (with their consent) at concerts.
