Overview
About Me
I'm a very open minded, relaxed person, but can be very enthusiastic about things: Experimental art/design/music, but also philosophy, the big questions of our life, and about society. I put a lot of efford into politics, organizing protests, educating and getting educated about the history of struggle and the ideas that change the world. I'm a socialist, and have a quite positive view about people in general - I think humanity is better than the society we live in, and we deserve better :)
I also have an old bus from 1972 that I'm trying to fix and to get on the road soon. It would be the perfect thing to travel with :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
If you wanna see something of a country, you can't stay at a hotel. I had the worst experiences in hotels in touristic areas, and the best experiences couchsurfing. You can only find out about the culture of the place you're visiting if you meet local people there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went couchsurfing in Tunisia in the last days of the dictatorship. You could feel that everyone was unhappy about the state of the society, lots of poverty, a brutal and corrupt police state... So I told one of my lovely couchsurfing hosts: "Dude, you need a revolution here." He said: "Nah, it will never happen in Tunisia." A week later: The masses on the streets, general strike, the dictator fleeing the country - Revolution!
