About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spread global awareness of R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet."

ABOUT ME

I just finished working as an English teaching assistant in Normandy, France, and am traveling until I start medical school in August.

I love learning and ask tons of questions. I love playing sports - I am a big runner (I run slow but have run two marathons, and hope to do a few more). I like museums. I often spontaneously laugh, because I randomly remember something funny that happened earlier that week. I like partying but also staying in and watching a movie or hanging out with friends.

PHILOSOPHY

"How can hip hop be dead if Wu-Tang is forever?" --The RZA

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met only fabulous people through CS, and want to continue having great experiences! And hope to open up my couch once I start med school so I can have someone to distract me from all of my studying...

Interests

Learning. Outdoor sports. History and museums. Exploring a new city. Speaking French. Running. Seeing people in their element. Traveling. Making lists of things I will probably never do.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Big time Harry Potter nerd. Also like most articles written by Nicholas Kristof and his book, "Half the Sky." Légendaires. The BFG.

Music: Almost anything, but I prefer rap and hip hop...Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Jay-Z, R. Kelly, the Cool Kids, Common are a few. I adore Prince and New Orleans brass bands. I'd never say no to a live opera or symphony.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every year, my family has a Christmas tree burning party in January. Everyone brings their Christmas tree and a big pot of soup...we hang out, eat 30 different types of soup, and then make a huge bonfire and spend the rest of the night throwing the Christmas trees in and watching them burst into flames.

Teach, Learn, Share

Want to learn: everything.
